Winter Tires

With our Canadian winters it is going to get cold and it will snow.

Typical all-season tires start to lose traction on bare pavement at about 7°C. The colder the temperature drops the faster the traction loss.

Winter tires are necessary for winter temperature traction. Winter tire rubber compounds and tread designs grip in cold conditions and 4 winter tires are necessary to keep the vehicle stopping in a straight line.

Even the least expensive winter tire will have better traction than an all-season tire when the temperature drops below freezing.

Your Excel Tire professional will be happy to explain the features and benefits of the wide selection of winter tires on hand, and help you decide on the best winter tire to suit you driving needs and budget.
